3G Delight

1.How Can I Enjoy 3G Delight?
All you need is an active SMART Pre-Paid connection with enough credit in your balance.
2.Will my data session be interrupted while receiving or taking voice calls?
Your data session will be interrupted if you are in 2G Coverage. But you can reconnect at any time till the end of your validity period.
If you are in 3G coverage, your data session will not be interrupted. However, your data transfer speeds will reduce for the duration of the call and resume to normal speeds thereafter.
3.What will happen to the features I enjoy in my 3G Delight subscription, if my credit balance reaches zero while I am still within an active 3G Delight subscription?
You will still be able to enjoy your unused 3G Delight features within the given time period, even when your balance reaches zero.
4.Can I activate 3G Delight while being subscribed to SMART FREEDOM?
You can only do so when you have exhausted your entitlement of all the features (Voice Minutes, Video Minutes and SMS) of your Freedom option.
5.Using your USB Modem to access the Internet:
Now you can manage your Pre-Paid internet SMART 3G delight feature through simple, easy to remember SMS codes. This option comes in handy especially if you are using your SMART Pre-Paid SIM for Internet on a USB Modem which is connected to a Laptop or PC. The SMS codes allow you to activate your preferred choice of 3G Delight feature, check your available data balance, your account balance, and also recharge your account anytime.
To receive these important codes via a SMS just type DATA and send it to 7678.

8.How do I recharge my account without removing the SIM from the USB modem?
You can recharge your account in the following way.
SmartShare: You can use this feature that allows you to transfer some of your credit on one SMART number to another SMART number.
 

3G - MISCELLANEOUS

1.How can I know whether my subscription is activated?
You will get a Text Message (SMS) confirming your subscription if 3G Delight was activated by dialing the short code. If you activated 3G Delight by calling 141, you will hear a voice recording confirming your subscription.
2.What will happen when my usage exceeds the entitled bundle of 50 MB, 100 MB or 200 MB?
You will be able to access 3.5G broadband via the normal Pre-Paid Broadband rate of Rs. 0.01 per kB. If you wish, you can extend the validity period of 3G Delight by reactivating the feature by dialing the required short codes or by calling 141.
3.Can I make multiple activations to get 3G Delight on the same day?
Yes. You can activate 3G Delight as many times as you wish as long as you have sufficient balance in your SMART account.
4.How do I know when my free limit of data ends?
You will receive a SMS when you reach 90% of the free data limit. You will also receive separate SMS when you exhaust your free limit.
5.How is the validity period of 3G Delight counted?
The validity period will begin upon activation and the time left between the time of activation until midnight the same day will be counted as the first day.
For example, if you activate the option at 10.00 PM you will get only 2 hours (between 2200-2400 hrs) as your first day; in the case of 3G Weekly Delight 75 the remaining data will be valid for a period of 6 days thereafter.
6.Can I check my data usage while using 3G Delight?
Yes. You can check the remaining number of MBs in your 3G Delight feature by dialling #170#.
7.Can I cancel the subscription to 3G Delight, once activated?
Yes. Just dial #170# and press 1 to deactivate the 3G Delight feature.
8.Is the data usage calculated for Downloading or Uploading or for both?
The data usage is calculated both for downloading and uploading.
9.What can I do with 100 MB of data?
You will be able to retrieve approximately 1000 Emails, download 25 MP3 Songs or browse over 300 web pages. (These are just indicative figures and the actual values may vary depending on the size of each unit illustrated in the above example.)

The SMART Loan enables any Mobitel SMART Pre-Paid customer to request for a loan Rs.30 whenever they are out of credit.
2.How do I become eligible for a SMART Loan?
To become eligible for a SMART loan the following conditions should be met:
  • You have to be connected with SMART for more than 6 months.
  • You have to be registered in compliance with the Mobitel customer registration policy.
  • Request for the Loan only within 24 hours when your account runs out of credit.
  • The account balance should be between 5 and 0.
3.How can I request for a SMART Loan?
You can request for a SMART Loan by dialing #247# from your handset.
4.What is the validity period for the SMART Loan amount granted?
The validity period for the Rs.30 SMART loan granted is 7 days.
5.What is the processing fee for SMART loan service?
The processing fee of Rs.2.00 + Taxes & Levies will be charged for each successful loan request.
6.Will the processing fee be deducted from my SMART Loan?
The processing fee will not be deducted of the Loan.
7.What are the services I can enjoy with SMART loan?
The services which you can enjoy with SMART loan will be:
  • Local calls - Mobitel to Mobitel and Mobitel to other networks
  • IDD buddy calls
  • IDD international calls
  • Local SMS - Mobitel to Mobitel and Mobitel to other networks
  • International SMS
  • Call Diversion
  • Incoming calls from any network
8.How many SMART loan requests can I make at any given time?
You can only make one successful SMART Loan request at a time, the next successful request can be made only if your previous loan had been settled by recharging/reloading the account.
9.Are there a maximum number of SMART Loan requests for a week/month?
You can enjoy unlimited number of SMART loan requests for a month as long as you recharge and settle each SMART loan subsequent your request.
10.How do I check the available balance of my SMART loan?
To check the available balance on your SMART Loan
  • Call the self-care IVR 141 your handset and press 1.
Or
  • The availability of balance on your SMART loan will be sent to you via SMS each time you dial *100# on your handset.
11.Will I be charged for rentals for services such as mTunes , Any 8, and so on from my SMART Loan?
The rentals for services such as mTunes, Any 8, and so on will not be deducted from your SMART Loan. Only the usage of the following services will be deducted from your SMART Loan.
  • Local calls and IDD(Premier and Buddy) calls
  • Local SMS and International SMS
  • Call Diversion
12.If I do not utilize the total amount of my SMART loan do I have to still have to settle Rs.30?
Yes, the SMART Loan amount will have to be settled if you do not utilize this or not within the 7 day period or not.
