1.How can I purchase a new prepaid eSIM connection through the SLTMOBITEL mobile website or selfcare app?

To purchase a new prepaid eSIM connection, follow these steps:

 

Step 1:

Visit : https://esim.sltmobitel.lk/eSimCustomerPortal/#/

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2: On the next page, select "New eSIM connection" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.

 

 

2.What documents are required to obtain a new eSIM connection?

You will need to upload the following documents in digital format through the eSIM customer portal:

National ID or Driving License: A clear digital image of both the front and back.

Photograph: A clear selfie taken with the front camera of your smartphone or computer.

Signature: A digital image of your signature.

 

Special Note: The submitted documents will be verified by Mobitel within 24 hours. If any document does not meet Mobitel’s requirements, you will be notified via SMS to provide the correct information by visiting a Mobitel outlet within the next 24 hours. Failure to do so may result in the suspension of your connection until further notice.

 

3.What types of connections can I obtain?

Currently, only prepaid connections are available via eSIM.

  • Open the email on your Phone and take a screenshot of the QR code.
  • Go to Photos and open the screenshot.
  • Tap and hold on the QR code in the screenshot.
  • Tap the notification that appears to scan the code.
