25th April 2023, Colombo: Recognising the efforts in transforming Sri Lanka’s mobile financial services, SLT-MOBITEL's mCash was awarded the prestigious ‘Outstanding Innovations in Digital Payments & Collections in Sri Lanka’ award, at an event held at Hilton Colombo recently. Organised by the Asian Fintech Academy (AFTA), the recognition is part of mCash’s exceptional contributions to the digital payments and collections landscape in Sri Lanka, paving way for businesses and retail sector reap benefits of cutting-edge digital payment solutions.

The award ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Central bank Assistant Governor Ananda Jayalath , Central Bank former Assistant Governor Dr. D. Kumaratunge, PhD, Fintech Association of Sri Lanka (FASL) Senior Adviser Dr. Tissa Jayaweera, PhD, and FASL President Rajkumar Kanagasingam & Joseph Joshy (CTO at the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), India) , as well as prominent representatives from leading financial institutions, telecommunications companies, and fintech organisations in Sri Lanka.
