Mobitel & Koko - Buy Now, Pay Later

1. What is Koko?

Koko is a Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) service. It lets you buy something today and pay later in 3 equal monthly payments over 60 days.

You pay only 1/3 of the amount when you buy the item. The rest will be automatically charged in the next two months.

2. How does Koko help me?

Koko helps you manage your money better by letting you buy now and pay later in 3 easy monthly installments.

Instead of paying the full amount upfront, you can:

  • Spread your payments over 60 days
  • Keep your cash flow healthy
  • Still enjoy your device right away
It's a smarter way to shop, especially for high value items, without the stress of full payment on day one.

3. What can I do with Koko at Mobitel?

Mobitel is the first Mobile telecom company in Sri Lanka to offer Koko for in-store purchases. You can now buy selected devices from Mobitel and pay in 3 easy installments through the Koko app.

4. What devices can I buy using Koko?

You can buy the following devices at selected Mobitel branches using Koko:

  • Smartphones 4G & 5G
  • Tablets 4G & 5G
  • Pocket Wi-Fi Mobile Routers 4G
  • Wingles 4G (Dongle which comes with Wifi)
  • Dongles 4G

5. What are the available devices with Koko?

6. How do I get started with Koko?

Follow these easy steps:
1. Download the Koko app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Sign up and create your Koko account.
3. Visit any Mobitel store that offers Koko.
4. Pick your device and go to the cashier.
5. Scan the Koko QR code shown at the counter.
6. Pay the first installment using the Koko app.
7. The remaining 2 installments will be automatically charged every month.

7. How does Koko work at Mobitel?
  • Visit the nearest Mobitel branch.
  • Choose from the available device list.
  • At checkout, choose Koko as your payment option.
  • Pay only 1/3 of the total price now.
  • Pay for the other two parts automatically over the next 2 months.
8. Who can use Koko?

Anyone who:

  • Is over 18 years old
  • Has a valid NIC or passport
  • Has a Koko account
  • Owns a debit or credit card linked to the app

If you face problems such as:

Mobitel will not be able to assist with Koko app-related issues directly.

11. Are there any Terms and Conditions?

Yes, all purchases using Koko are subject to:

  • Koko’s Terms and Conditions (including eligibility and repayment rules)
  • Mobitel’s device sales policies
