Winners are determined according to the bid that aligns with the promotional plan, and prizes are awarded accordingly. 3.HOW DOES THE SERVICE WORK?

Upon subscribing to THEGI WESSA service, you will receive an SMS detailing the current promotion, including information about the prize and promo campaign duration. At the conclusion of the promotional period, the customer who submits the unique and lowest bid value will win the prize as specified in the promotion plan.

To participate, simply type BID followed by your unique and lowest bid value to 5665. As a subscriber, you will receive five free bid attempts per day.

Ex: Type BID 50 and send it to 5665

 

4.WINNER COMMUNICATION

Winner will be informed to the subscriber base at the end of the promotional period via SMS.

6.GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All the tax charges are subject to government taxes & levies.

Above service is activated using the mobile operator’s Activation process. The operator will request confirmation prior to activating the service.

The service will be renewed automatically (until the user deactivates the service) and will be charged on each renewal depending on your mobile connection type (Prepaid / Postpaid).

The user can deactivate the service at any given time by respective deactivation method or by notifying the Mobitel customer service team via 1717 hotline.

Any clarifications, concerns, refunds, etc. to be handled by Mobitel.

Prizes will be awarded to the winner(s) as determined by Mobitel.

The nature, quantity and value of prizes will be communicated to participants before the start of the competition.

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.

Participants must adhere to the rules and instructions provided by Mobitel during the competition.

 

Eligibility

The competition is open to individuals who meet the specified eligibility criteria, such as age, residency, or other requirements as determined by the Mobitel.

Employees, immediate family members or affiliates of the Mobitel are typically not eligible to participate.

 

 Disqualification

The Mobitel reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates the terms and conditions of the competition or engages in fraudulent, unethical or inappropriate conduct.

Disqualified participants forfeit any right to receive prizes or other benefits associated with the competition.

 

Liability

Mobitel is not responsible for any injury, loss or damage incurred by participants during the competition.

Participants are responsible for their own safety and well-being throughout the competition.

 

Changes to Terms and Conditions

The Mobitel reserves the right to amend or update the terms and conditions of the promotion at any time, without prior notice.

Any disputes or concerns regarding the competition will be resolved at the discretion of the Mobitel, and that decision will be final.

By participating in the competition, participants grant Mobitel the right to use their name, likeness, photograph and any submitted materials for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, press releases and other marketing materials.

1. What is the BIDXWIN service? 
BIDXWIN is an advanced SMS-based bidding service that offers customers the opportunity to compete for pre-specified prizes. In this unique process, participants place bids for the lowest unique price. If a customer’s bid is the lowest and hasn’t been matched by others, the customer wins the prize. This service provides an engaging and thrilling way to participate in competitive bidding and win valuable rewards, all through a simple SMS system.  
The prizes may include mobile phones, vouchers, laptops, electronics, vehicles, cycles, and more. 
 
2. How to activate this service? / How to participate in this service? 
To activate this service, the customer is required to send an SMS in the format REG <space> BX to 5235. Upon sending the SMS, the service will be activated, and the customer will receive an SMS containing relevant details regarding the competition. To place a bid, the customer must send an SMS in the format BX <space> <minimum bid amount> to 5235. After submission, the customer will receive a confirmation message from the BIDXWIN service.
 The customer is entitled to place up to three bids per day once the service is activated and the applicable charges are successfully processed. Once the daily quota of three chances has been exceeded, the customer will be notified accordingly. Customer is eligible to bid again on the next day.
The winner is determined by the minimum unique bid, meaning the lowest bid that is both unique (no one else placed the same bid) and meets the minimum bid requirement. For example, if the bids placed are 1, 2, 1, 4, 2, 6, the winner would be the individual who placed the unique bid of 4, as it is the lowest unique bid.  
Each competition has a limited duration, and participants will be notified of the time remaining via SMS. To participate, the customer must ensure they have sufficient balance in their mobile account. Following registration for the BIDXWIN service, charges will be automatically applied to the customer’s account on a daily or monthly basis, as applicable. Customers can only place bids if they maintain an adequate balance in their mobile account.

4. How does the customer know if they are the winner?
After the valid competition period ends, the winner is automatically selected by the BIDXWIN system/service. The winner will be notified via a phone call by the Mobitel General line. 
 
5. How to unsubscribe from the service / deactivate the service? 
To deactivate the service, customer should send an SMS with the format DEREG <space> BX to 5235. After deactivating the service, customer will be notified via SMS.  
 
6. Conditions to qualify and participate in this service: 
BIDXWIN is a service available to any Sri Lankan citizen with an active mobile connection, accessible via SMS. However, it is not valid for the following parties: 
  • Employees of the promotional organization and their family members. 
  • Service providers, agents of the promoter and any individuals professionally associated with this bidding service. 
7. General Terms & Conditions 
  • This service is activated through the standard activation process provided by Mobitel. Before activating the service, the customer is required to confirm their activation/participation. For any registration/bid via sms there will not be any refund to the customer.
  • The service will automatically renew until the customer deactivates it, and the applicable charges will be applied each time it is renewed. 
  • The customer can deactivate the service at any time using the deactivation method or by contacting Mobitel Customer Service using 1717.
  • Additionally, for any clarifications regarding the service, refund requests, or any other related matters, Mobitel will handle the inquiries and requests.

At a predefined time each day, users receive a call from the number 234, featuring a carefully curated Buddhist thought in Sinhala. This service is designed to provide spiritual guidance, promote mindfulness and inspire personal reflection, helping individuals integrate Buddhist principles into their daily lives.

2.How to activate this service?

To activate the service, customers need to dial 234, where they will receive step-by-step instructions to set up the service at their preferred time of the day.

4.Does customer get charged for listening to the call he/she receives?

No, customers are not charged for listening to the daily call they receive. They are only charged a daily subscription fee for the service.

5.Can a customer listen to the day’s thought before or after the predefined time period?

Yes, users can listen to the day's Buddhist teaching at any time by dialing 234. There is no additional charge for dialing 234 to access the service beyond the daily subscription fee.

6.How to change predefined settings (Service Time)?

Customers can dial 234 at any time and follow the instructions to change their predefined service time.

7.How to deactivate the services?

Customers can deactivate the service by dialing 234 at any time and following the instructions provided.
