1. What is Samsung A06, Pay 16,600 Upfront and Balance in Installment Offer?

This is a special device installment plan available for Mobitel postpaid customers where you can purchase a Samsung Galaxy A06 (4GB RAM + 64GB Storage) from Mobitel by paying only Rs. 16,600 and pay the remaining amount in 12 easy monthly installments of Rs. 2,324 through your Mobitel postpaid bill.

2. How does the payment plan for the Samsung Galaxy A06 work?

  • Just make an Upfront Payment: Rs. 16,600 (at the time of purchase) by cash or credit card.
  • Sign up for a contract form and pay Monthly Installments: Rs. 2,324 per month for 12 months.
    No additional device payment is required beyond these amounts.

4. What documents are required to apply for this offer?

7. I’m on prepaid can I get this offer?

You can convert your prepaid connection to a postpaid connection and opt for the respective package and get the Samsung A06, simply pay 16,600 Upfront and Rest Balance in Installments.

8. What happens if I want to disconnect before completing the installments?

If you wish to disconnect or downgrade your postpaid connection before finishing the 12 months, the remaining balance must be paid in full.
Note: Postpaid to Prepaid migration is not allowed unless the total outstanding installment amount of the device offer is fully settled

9. What would happen if I could not settle the monthly bill?

If you do not settle your bill during the contract period, your account will be temporarily disconnected, and If the amount is not settled within 10 the device will be locked until full payment is made, and your device will display reminders.

10. How can I unlock my device if it’s locked due to non-payment?

Once you pay all outstanding amounts, Dial the 1717 customer care Hotline or visit your nearest Mobitel Outlet.

11. How many devices can I get under this offer?

Only one device per NIC is allowed under this offer (any ongoing contract should be settled).

12. Will this affect my credit limit?

Yes. Your credit limit will be temporarily increased by Rs. 4,000/- to facilitate the installment of the device. After completing the contract period, additional credit limits will be removed.

13. Do I need to settle my current bills before getting this offer?

Yes. All outstanding bills under your NIC must be settled before obtaining the device.

14. How long will this Samsung Galaxy A06 offer be available?

1.What is the UPAHARA Pensioner Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) Device Scheme?

The Uphara Device offer is an exclusive offer to State sector pensioners prepared in collaboration between Mobitel and Department of Pensions of Sri Lanka offering them a facility to obtain a smartphone on a 12- or 24-Month Instalment scheme with a special bundled package, which can be paid through their Monthly pension.

 

2.Who is eligible for the Upahara Pensioner BNPL Scheme?

Any state sector Pensioner is eligible for this BNPL Scheme.

 

3.What are the benefits of the Uphara Pensioner BNPL Scheme?

The key benefits in the scheme are as follows:

  1. You can choose your device + package.
  2. There are no upfront fees to enter the program.
  3. You will be paying for the Smart phone device in 12 or 24 Equal instalments + any billed usage + subscription fee.
  4. The Instalments are deducted from your pension.

 

4.What are the available offers for the scheme?

You can choose only 1 of the following for a period of 12 or 24 months.

A 4G Smartphone or a Mobile Wi-Fi Router or a 4G Dongle.

 

5.I am an existing UPAHARA customer, Am I eligible to this scheme?

Yes, existing UPAHARA pension customers are eligible to obtain this offer by signing the contract. However, all outstanding due bills under your account must be settled to avail of this special device scheme.

 

6.I am a Mobitel Prepaid user, Can I get this UPAHARA Pensioner BNPL Scheme?

9.Do I have to pay any upfront payment opt into the Uphara Pension BNPL scheme?

No, you do not have to pay any upfront fees. All you need to do is choose your device and sign our 12-month contract form. However, all outstanding due bills under your account must be settled to avail of this special device scheme.


 

10.How many Devices can a customer obtain under this BNPL scheme?

Only 1 (One) Offer is provided under the program, you cannot take multiple offers within the contract period.

 

11.What are the documents that are required to obtain Uphara Pension BNPL Scheme?

The documents you will have to bring along with you to obtain this offer is as follows:

  1. Pension ID
  2. National ID
  3. Proof of Billing.
  4. If it differs from the address mentioned in the National Identity Card. Following documents received within the last three months will be accepted as Proof of Billing:

12.I have already purchased a Device under Kalaguna Pensions Scheme, Can I get another Device under this UPAHARA Pensioner BNPL Scheme?

Yes! You can avail this installment offer if your previous offer agreement period has ended. If you're still within the agreement period, you can settle the early exit fee to become eligible for this offer. Speak to our branch customer service staff or call 1717 they will assist you with the necessary process.

 

13.How can I enroll to this Uphara Pension BNPL scheme?

For this you need to get a consent form to deduct device installment and your mobile usage approved by the nominated officer in charge of pension matters at your respective Divisional Secretariat Office. The following steps need to be followed to enroll to this Upahara BNPL scheme.

Step 01 -           Obtain two copies of the consent form and fill them out yourselves. The form

can be collected at SLTMOBITEL Mobile Branches or by downloading on

this link: https://www.mobitel.lk/buy-now-pay-later.

Step 02 -           You should take those two copies to the nominated officer in charge of

pension matters at your respective Divisional Secretariat Office for approval

of the consent form.

Step 03 -           Nominated officer in charge at the Divisional Secretariate Office will hand

over one copy (from the two forms given to the officer) with his            Authorization Signature and Official Seal (Official Stamp) to you.

Step 04 -           You can now enroll for the device installment plan by visiting your nearest

branch with your NIC, pensioner ID, and the authorized form provided by the

respective officer at the Divisional Secretariat.

15.How do I pay the Monthly Instalment and Bills for the package?

Paying the monthly instalment + Bills for the package is easy, the monthly installment will be deducted from your Monthly pension, once you opt into the scheme by signing the contract with Mobitel.

 

16.Can I leave the scheme and stop paying the monthly payments and bills if I want to?

Yes, you can do that, all you need to do is visit the nearest Mobitel branch / Mini branch and pay the Early Exit Fees
