Mobitel Device Offer for Long-Tenured Upahara Postpaid Customers (Zero Down Payment Plan)

1. Who is eligible for this offer?

Selected customers who have been on Mobitel’s Upahara postpaid packages for over 10 years.

2. What device is available under this offer?

The offer includes the Samsung A06 (4+64GB) smartphone and Samsung 25W super fast adapter with a 2-year manufacturer warranty.

3. Is there any upfront payment required?

No upfront payment is required. The device cost will be recovered in 12 equal monthly installments added to your Mobitel bill.

4. What postpaid packages are eligible for this offer?

To be eligible, customers must either already be on or upgrade from the existing package to Upahara 499 (UP499) or Upahara 727 (UP727).

5. How much is the monthly installment for the device?

The monthly device installment is Rs. 3,875 (including taxes), payable across 12 months.

6. I am an existing Upahara customer. Can I get this offer?

Yes. Customers on older Upahara package codes like STC, STCNW, PENSY, CRPWR, FORC2 must upgrade to UP499 or UP727. However, SLFCS users can continue with the same package (customers who are in the STC/STCNW, no need to pay the connection fee for the package upgrade).

7. Is there a contract involved?

Yes. You must sign a 12-month agreement committing to both service and device installment payments.

8. How to check the eligibility?

The Customers can check their eligibility by dialing #7123# or call 1717 hotline.

9. Can I exit from the device installment plan before the 12-month agreement period?

Yes, you can exit by settling the remaining monthly installment of the device + Any due bills.

Early Settlement Formula:

(Monthly Device Installment value + Taxes) × Remaining Months in the agreement + Any due Bills

10. What is the Samsung Knox Guard and how does it work?

Samsung Knox Guard is a device management system used to lock the phone remotely if bills are not paid, ensuring security and payment compliance.

11. What would happen if I could not settle the monthly bill?

If you do not settle your bill during the contract period, your account will be temporarily disconnected, If not settled within 10 days it will be locked until full payment is made and your device will display reminders.

12. How can I unlock my device if it’s locked due to non-payment?

Once you pay all outstanding amounts, Mobitel will manually unlock the device via the Knox system.

13. How many devices can I get under this offer?

Only one device per NIC is allowed under this offer.

14. Will this affect my credit limit?

Yes. Your credit limit will be temporarily increased by Rs. 4,000/- to facilitate the installment of the device. After completing the contract period, additional credit limits will be removed.

15. Do I need to settle my current bills before getting this offer?

Yes. All outstanding bills under your NIC must be settled before obtaining the device.

16. From where can I avail of the device offer?

You can visit any Mobitel outlet to obtain the device under this offer.

17. What if customer lose or damage the phone?

The device comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty for factory defects. Mobitel is not responsible for physical damage or loss. If the phone is lost or damaged, the customer must continue to pay the remaining installments as agreed.

18. Can customer change the number or transfer ownership while on this plan?

No. The customer must retain the same mobile number and ownership until the 12-month contract period is completed.

19. Common Customer Questions & How to Handle:

“What if I change my mind?”: Customer can cancel early by settling remaining payments.

“Can I change my number?”: No, the number must stay active for 12 months.

“Will I own the phone?”: Yes, once full payment is completed.

“What if the phone breaks?”: Covered under the 2-year Samsung warranty for manufacturing defects. Physical damage is not covered.
