mTunes song gifting FAQ

All postpaid and prepaid individual subscribers (see terms and conditions for exclusions) who activate any song as a mtune and gifted a mtune for a mobitel customer during the promo period will be entitled for a draw conducted after the promotion period.

Three winning couples will get a Helicopter Ride and a Hotel Buffet Giveaway (gift sender + gift receiver).

• To activate via IVR: - Dial 777 -> Select the category -> Select the content -> press No.1 to activate.
• To activate via web or app :- visit mtunes.mobitel.lk or visit the mtunes app -> Seach & Select the content select “Set rbt” to activate the mtune for your number. (There is OTP process for number verification.)

Via IVR

• Dial 777 > Select the song category (1 for love songs, 2 for other songs) > Select the song > Press No.01 > Enter No. 03 to gift > Enter the Gifting Mobile Number > Press No.01 to confirm the number.
• Gift receiver will receive a SMS with an ID to accept the gift. To accept - Reply the SMS short code YID

Via Web

• Visit https://mtunes.mobitel.lk/#/home
• Search and select a preferred song
• Press the 3 dots on the right-hand corner

• Select song gifting icon (There is OTP process for number verification.)

• Enter gifting mobile number

• Click confirm to proceed.


• Gift receiver will receive a SMS with an ID to accept the gift. To accept Type YID & Reply the SMS short code.

• User who gift a Caller Ring Back Tone to a preferred user will be charged 1 Month, Later the charges will be applied from the USER who received the CRBT Content.
• Charging Method :- Monthly Billing
• Any Content can be activated & gifted to be eligible for the promotion.

1. To be eligible for the prize for the couple, a user must active at least a single mTune during the promotion period. That user needs to gift any mtune for its selected partner and that partner should accept the gift.

2. Users can listen to activate mtunes from 777 or mtunes.mobitel.lk/mtunes app.

3. Winners will be picked by a system-generated report conducted in presence of Mobitel Internal Audit on the draw date.

4. Winners will be contacted via phone from 0712755777

5. In case of an unreachable winner, there will be three attempts made via phone and if not reachable, the next record of the report will be picked as the winner. The previous record will be discarded.

6. Winners will be announced after final date of entry for the promotion period.

7. Winners will be entitled for the giveaway as mentioned above in Question 4.

8. Prize will be provided at discretion of Mobitel.

9. Venue and the arrangement of the prize will be decided by Mobitel.

10. Mobitel staff, Suppliers and Business partners of Mobitel, Advertising Agency and their immediate family members will not be eligible to participate in this competition.

11. The participants agree to indemnify Mobitel for any technical errors, which may occur during the promotion period.

12. Mobitel holds the right to do the winner selection and the decision shall be the final.

13. The prizes will be awarded to the winners who have duly paid all amounts payable for the use of all Mobitel’s services. This includes all due mobile bills connected under the National identity card number of the winner.
