eWaste

What is the project Mobitel has initiated?
Mobitel has initiated an e-Waste collection Project as a CSR Project.
What is the definition of e-Waste?
Electronic waste or e-waste describes discarded electrical or electronic devices. Used electronics which are destined for refurbishment, reuse, resale, salvage recycling through material recovery, or disposal are also considered e-waste.
Why is e-Waste dangerous?
Electronic waste affects nearly every system in the human body because the materials that make up e-waste contain a plethora of toxic components, including mercury, lead, cadmium, polybrominated flame retardants, barium, and lithium. They will also significantly affect the human body's nervous and reproductive systems.
What are some examples of e-Waste?
Examples of electronic waste include, but not limited to: TVs, computer monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, cables, circuit boards, lamps, clocks, flashlight, calculators, phones, answering machines, digital/video cameras, radios, VCRs, DVD players, MP3 and CD players.
