Ensuring access to digital solutions for everyone, SLT-MOBITEL together with Sri Lanka Railways and Department of Pensions enabled pensioners to enjoy a seamless railway transport experience by integrating the pension warrant process to the SLT-MOBITEL’s state of the art mTicketing platform.

Launching the digitalization of the pension warrant took place recently at the Colombo Divisional Secretariat with senior representatives from State institutions, Sri Lanka Railways, the Department of Pensions, and SLT-MOBITEL in attendance.

The initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment to digital transformation while extending appreciation for the years of service pensioners have unstintingly given towards the country.

The launch builds on the success of SLT-MOBITEL’s online reservation system unveiled last year for general passengers. The extension to include pension warrants represents an important step forward to ensure that railway ticketing is now completely digitalized for all user segments.

The initiative is also part of SLT-MOBITEL's broader pledge to support Sri Lanka's digital transformation journey, particularly in digitalizing state-owned enterprises through superior connectivity solutions.
